Alchemical Yoga® Level One Teacher Certification

An Alchemical Yoga teacher is a facilitator of healing and transformation. S/he manifests divine energy and skillfully directs it into the creation of a space in which his/her students can receive the healing force of the living light and connect more strongly with their own divine presence. The Alchemical Yoga teacher aids the student to integrate this force into all levels of his/her being. S/he guides others through the first two stages of Alchemical Yoga, Purification and Disintegration.

An Alchemical Yoga teacher educates students about the importance of healthy living and the components of a spiritually balanced life. These components include a diet high in natural living and raw foods. A vegetarian diet is undertaken in the first stage of Alchemical Yoga known as Purification. Purification is an ongoing process of physical, emotional, and mental cleansing and rebalancing that supports the transition from identification with the ego and lower desires into a greater awareness of the divine spirit within. In addition to a healthy lifestyle, the Alchemical Yoga teacher also instructs students in Level One alchemical meditations, yoga exercises, and breathing practices. The teacher leads his/her students through a 7-day course on the Living Light detoxification and regeneration program at least once a year, and provides support to help them successfully complete the full 21 day Living Light plan.

The second stage of Alchemical Yoga is Disintegration, the surrendering of lower consciousness in order to become more aware of and receptive to the higher self. In this stage, the Alchemical Yoga teacher assists students by teaching the powerful practice of ecstatic dance, the skillful application of shamanic arts, and the spiritual practice of fasting. As the teacher continues to offer the Level One meditations, yoga exercises and breathing practices, s/he also facilitates the students' ongoing awakening into divine consciousness by providing a safe space and personal support for deep inner work and the release of his/her mental conditionings that limit the flow of the divine force.

In order to serve as a clear and effective conduit for the living light, the Alchemical Yoga teacher must learn and practice the protocols, meditations, exercises and breath-work of Level One for a sufficient period of time. Course work, exams, live practice, and supervision help ensure that the teacher is comfortable, competent and qualified to assist others to begin the transformational path of Alchemical Yoga. Through the Alchemical Yoga teacher training program, the teacher candidate receives a wealth of written materials as well as CD's and DVD's that will help them excel in their own practice and succeed as an Alchemical Yoga teacher. Upon receipt of certification, the teacher will receive an initiatory transmission from Reverend Chavah Aima. This initiation will establish a vital, living link between the teacher and the inner reservoir of wisdom, love, and power from which Alchemical Yoga was born and which eternally unfolds.

Alchemical Yoga Level One Teacher Training Program

The first step toward attaining certification as a Level One Alchemical Yoga teacher is to enroll in the teacher training program by completing an application and paying the administrative enrollment fee. Teacher candidates must attend 220 hours of training in the philosophy and practices of Level One. At the present time, many required courses are offered as workshops throughout the year and teacher candidates are awarded training credits for attendance at these events. Level One Alchemical Yoga teacher candidates must also attend the Living Light 7-Day Accelerator Course, where they will participate in all of the regular classes offered during this program in addition to classes and practice sessions offered solely for teacher candidates. In addition to these programs, teacher candidates will also attend weekend seminars and retreats to strengthen their knowledge and skills in presenting Alchemical Yoga to others. When the training hours are completed, teacher candidates must pass an exam on the philosophy of Alchemical Yoga and must demonstrate proficiency in the Level One practices. Upon successful completion of the exam, the teacher may begin teaching Alchemical Yoga. For the first three months, the teacher will attend a monthly supervision session (or receive supervision by telephone) to ensure his/her success.
